Days ago I asked somebody;
Have you receive the Holy Spirit?
Even though the person was dress up church / religion. He answered me;
What? what is that of receiving the Holy Spirit?
Me - Have you read the book of Acts chapter 19: verses 2-6?
Person - hmm? I don't remember
Me - Verse 2, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Person - We don't do that
Me - So in what name do you baptize the believer?
Person - in the name of God, Mary, Apostles, etc.
Me - You as a priest, you know we should as the Bible says and not as church says, because hundred of thousands of churches are in the world, but only one true God. The issue is that church people accommodate church ritualism for their own "wealth been", of the institution, and not for the people, reason why young people get sick and tired of church, because you don't teach them bible, you teach them church, and church is a place to go to, but God is the person, the power to come in.
Person - Yes but we have done this for hundreds of years, we cannot change now everything, just because you said it.
Me - Is not me, is the Bible saying it, read!
So the person got away from me, mad, but confused, kind but confronted.
People, read the Bible, don't let others to read it for you, because they might add things just to manipulate your faith to their convenience. God didn't bring us religion, he gave us life, freedom and peace, but these things are not good for religion because, to where all the gold and silver and masterpieces displayed in church will go?
Well, most probably those man made artifacts will be sold and feed the hunger, the poors which are many, paradoxically around the church.
